The Open Source Association
The Open Source Association has been designed to provide a community setting for the unique processes in technology related to Open Source Software and processes.

Open Source has taken on a new life with the growing trends in Enterprise 2.0 and Web 2.0, providing new opportunities for individuals, businesses, and developers.  Open Source now extends beyond the confines of geekdom offering more than just programming code and application but a new way of thinking about technology and how technology is used.
Open source is now more than just a passing fad but a push to change not just how software is delivered or made available, it has become a force to be reckoned with in the Enterprise environment.

For example, Open Source Marketing is offering a fresh spin on the world of advertising, public relations, and marketing.  With a growing cynical and educated populas and the overwhelming amount of choices and competition, conventional marketing is failing (You can read more about that here).  Open Source Marketing has step up as an alternative that puts community initiatives behind the brand.

This is just one example.  Open Source is more than just software it is a new way to interact, do business, and achieve your goals.  This group will provide the catalyst for new aims as well as pushing the collaborative edge locally to achieve more for the community as a whole.
