The Community Technology Initiative is a free service of THE Ultimate User, Richard Bishoff designed to provide access to proprietary methods and process that can help non-technical people get results from any computer, using any software all the time.
CTI is a 60-minute workshop requiring no computers that is provided to libraries, churches, and other non-commercial social organizations on a first come, first serve basis. This free workshop is designed to help those in need to begin to understand computers and technology from an absolute beginning. Based upon the commercial Ultimate User Technology Success System, CTI provides a basic starting platform from which a person can begin to get results in a do-it-yourself fashion as well as learn how to find out where to go when they need to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle.
Unlike conventional technical and software training services, The Ultimate User Technology Success System is based not on memorization but on a simple connect-the-dots process. “If you know where you want to be when you are done it’s just a matter of connecting the dots back to where to begin it is designed to adapt to the situation you are in instead of forcing you to follow a prescribed outline of instructions,” he says. "The first thing I ask every student to do is to forget about the computer."
These simple methods: The 10 immutable laws of Technology, The Ultimate User Technology Success System, and the 5-step DIGI-tasking method work in unison to re-frame the individual perspective concerning computers and as a side bar all things technical. “CTI is the beginning, the absolute basics of getting started with successful computing. You don’t learn one software package, you learn how to use all of them. You don’t worry about the operating system or the hardware, you learn the purpose that they serve. The rest is literally, ‘all between your ears.’”
“The DIGI-tasking method begins without the use of computers and then walks you through until you get the result you want,” says founder Richard Bishoff. “There is a reason why success is in the title; that is what you are aiming for. Without it you’re spinning your wheels and staring at a paperweight.”
The basic CTI program layout:
- Immutable laws of technology
- How to get more without spending more
- DIGI-tasking for results – A Good Beginning
This simple program is designed with the beginner in mind so no experience at all only helps. For those that have been immersed in technology but are still doing by memorization you can learn new techniques that will make computing easier and faster. “there is more than one way to get where you want to be, you just have to avoid getting lost in the process.”
The workshop founder, Richard Bishoff has been in the technology arena since 1982 when computers had less capability than modern cell phones and there were no support mechanisms to help you with your problems. “It was literally sink or swim,” he says, “In those days with only a few software packages and no one but your crew of hardcore enthusiasts to support you, you either figured it out or you did without. I preferred the former.” Working with PC to video on a Commodore 64, moving to graphics and 3D animations on an Amiga in the early ‘90s, to the modern PCs where there are literally no creative limits for the right pair of hands, Richard Bishoff has found ways to get more from less at every opportunity in every aspect of business technology including the Technology Profit System and others.
Developing three businesses, all with technology at their core, years of experience and learning comes to bear on a system designed for users by a user and is field tested daily in the very process he uses to get results in business technology. With education and experience in both technology and business his unique skill sets let him to develop the first and only Personal Technology Success Coaching System.
“This is not quite the programs that I have in place for commercial purposes lasting upwards of 4 plus weeks but given the time frame and resources, this program is designed to get a new user thinking in a different way to get them started on the technology path with the proper skills. It is my hope, my plan, to expand this program to a more powerful system by bringing on sponsors, advertisers, and donors in the coming weeks. The CTI program is a labor of love and a chance to give back to the community and it is critically important to this time in history because tomorrow means even more technology. I think it is critical that everyone knows how to get the most out of computers, their future and their children’s future depends on it.”
